ESTABLISH CONNECTION
Let's shift away from the conventional notion of avoiding strangers. Recently, some of the most significant fortunes often originate from encounters with unfamiliar faces. The individuals who constitute our circle of acquaintances today were strangers at some point, and it was through conversations that they transitioned from being unknown to becoming friends. Establishing connections is crucial, but must we rely solely on fate to forge those connections? The power lies in our hands.
One enduring capability we possess is the power of choice. We have complete autonomy to decide who and what enters and exits our lives. Given this autonomy, it becomes imperative to harness that power and take the initiative to converse with strangers who might be destined to alter the course of our lives. Each person we encounter brings the opportunity to learn something new, gain uncharted experiences, or hear untold stories. Seizing these opportunities requires us to initiate that first conversation and witness the evolution it may bring.
Here's another insight to consider: a conversation is akin to reading a book. You can turn any page at will, flip to your favorite chapter, read as long as you desire, and choose what you want to read. Each person we meet is an intricate book, an entire human story. Sitting amidst a crowd of 1,000 people is akin to being in a library with 1,000 books. The question arises: will you merely glance at the titles, or will you reach out, pick up a compelling book, and delve into its pages.
