A NEW DAY IS A PRESENT

Some time ago I grew worried about living a routine life. I was stuck in carrying out the same activities all the time.

It was like being a saddo, wake up and expecting nothing different from each day.

Sticking within one's circle can be nerve-racking. If it was that favorite music, listening to it over again, every day can make you grow weary of it. Talk about that favorite chocolate candy, you'll get sick of it very soon if it is your daily snack.

While curious to discover if I can nitpick even an ounce of change, an idea came. I took a 30 day writing action. It was going to be about the way I spent each day.

After spending a day, I will slide to my journal and write down every detail of it without mincing words.

It was a journey of determination. In the first two weeks, it was so challenging as I got exhausted to think not to talk of writing sometimes, but because I was eager to follow through the process and not miss a day, I stuck to the rule.

One thing that interestingly gave me a smooth ride was the magical work of a book and pen. Once I pick up the tools to place them together, all I'm indebted to do is to have a post-traumatic stress flashback on what transpired, which starts flowing, the tools do the job that follows.

If we had crossed paths or conversed as at that time, then you would certainly be part of what I wrote about.

When this journey was over, I returned to the day 1 and read to the last day. It dawned on me that despite my life feeling like a routine, each day came with different thrills and packages.

There were days of excitement, joy, optimism, strength and positive energy. However, there were also days of weakness, pessimism and frustration. Varieties encompassed that routing life, and I was never conscious of it.

It taught me to appreciate every passing day that I witness and make the very best out of them, as they don't leave without signing out.

There will always be something they left behind to tell you, "I was here, if only you noticed.”

Even if we didn't observe the change, it was there. “Every little bit adds up.”

So each day is a new life, seize it, live it meditate, live purely, be quiet. Do your work with mastery and in the end come out from behind the clouds and shine.
